Umbrella and dog in tow, off we went for a walk. Till i just got down the road, and there was a great gush of wind and my cheap10p car boot umbrella turned inside out. I came home absolutely soaked, that will teach me a lesson that bargains are not always good!!
This week has been awful, every night i go to bed shattered, and three o'clock in the morning i am still awake tossing and turning. So yesterday i decided, i would not go back to bed, i would stay up and take Tom my sweet little dog for a walk. Looked out of the kitchen window, and it was absolutely poring down with rain.
Thought i would show you my new vintage pencil holder that i fond in a charity shop yesterday, just what i was looking for to hold my Cath Kidston pencils in. I'm always loosing them in the house, so she is sat right next to me and the computer.
I have always loved vintage doll's houses, so when looking through some of the books from the weekend i found this sweet picture with a lovely poem at the bottom.

When you have a doll's house the best place to play,
Is out on the lawn, on a nice sunny day,
"Let's empty this room and dust it, '' said Jean,
'' Then dolly can live in a house that is clean.''
I thought i would share with you this lovely poem, that i came across in one of the vintage children's books that i bought yesterday.

MAY YOU ALWAYS BE BLESSED
WITH WALLS FOR THE WIND.
A ROOF FOR THE RAIN.
A WARM CUP OF TEA BY THE FIRE
LAUGHTER TO CHEER YOU.
AND ALL THAT YOUR
HEART MIGHT DESIRE.
Went out today looking for vintage goodies, decided to go to Hemswell Antique centre to see what i could find. It was so cold, but it was very busy there must have been about ten people in front of me in the queue. Found some lovely vintage Children's books, old ladders and some gorgeous tins to add to my collection, so i was very pleased. Too dark to take some photos the time i got home, so i will take some tomorrow and show you.
